This discussion was hosted at the Tinkerspace, Kerala, alongside RATI Foundation. Rati spoke about their helpline for children and women facing online harms in India, Meri Helpline, and Tattle spoke about building citizen-centric technologies against these threats.

Asia Disinformation Co-Lab

Tattle participated in the Asia Disinformation Co-Lab in Bangkok put together by Numun Fund. The event gathered researchers, activists, media practitioners, designers, and developers from across Asia and aimed to enhance analysis and action against disinformation and hate speech by exploring concrete strategies to tackle disinformation and the sharing of insights, experiences, and recommendations.

Safeguarding Information Integrity during Elections with Digital Public Goods

Feluda was featured and listed in a blog by the Digital Public Goods Alliance on DPGs that are strengthening information integrity at the critical time of elections.

AoIR Hyderabad Flashpoint Symposium 2024

Tattle took part in a panel themed on building a more just and fair internet through design, code, and content as part of the symposium that was centred on exploring forms and structures of labour contributing to digital infrastructures, content, and systems.

Launch of DAU Collaborative Platform

Collaborating with the Misinformation Combat Alliance, we're addressing the issue of manipulated media through a WhatsApp tipline (Deepfakes Analysis Unit) for querying media manipulation levels, providing assessment reports for each item. Our focus is on the collaborative platform powering the Deepfakes Analysis Unit, facilitating collective assessment among experts

Consultation on Gendered Information Disorder in India

We attended the roundtable held by Centre for Internet and Society and Point of View in Mumbai, and had some interesting discussions whereby intersectional perspectives were brought forth in an attempt to understand the impact of gender upon information disorders.

MisinfoCon India 2023

Tattle co-organised the first MisinfoCon conference in India in Bangalore with Meedan and Hackshackers at the Thoughtworks' Bangalore office. It was a convening of technology, policy, media, and design professionals to foster understanding and action around misinformation in India and consisted of two days of lightning talks and workshops, followed by a hackathon on the third day, touching on different aspects of trust and safety online, with a specific focus on platform research, AI and media, storytelling and misinformation response, and gendered disinformation
