Tattle in collaboration with the Trusted Information Alliance invites you to the release of our Deepfakes Analysis Unit (DAU) Dataset! Launched in 2024, the DAU is now a trusted resource for raising public awareness about algorithm-based fabrication. Through a network of partnerships and a WhatsApp tipline, DAU has been combating generative AI based misinformation.

We are now releasing the dataset of media items analysed by the DAU, along with some metadata to the public. We believe this data can improve the understanding of synthetic media, and build public capacity for discerning misinformation, especially in India. We are hosting a public presentation to demo the DAU portal, describe the data and the process of collecting, annotating and sharing it. The session will end with an open Q&A. As someone committed to the improvement of media literacy, AI generated content governance and digital rights, we would love to have you join us for the release.
